Editorial policy

Cover Route describes the UK breakdown cover market. It defines cover types, records what each provider publishes and sets the differences side by side. It does not recommend providers, rank them or say which cover to buy.

Editorial rules

Pages define terms, present specifications and identify limitations. Specification values are shown in the provider's own wording, with a link to the page they were read from, and statements quoted in reference guides carry a link and the date checked. Where those pages say nothing, the page reads “Not stated”. Provider marketing copy is not used to describe a provider.

Ordering

Providers are listed alphabetically. A list ordered by price says so in its title or description. Cover Route publishes no scores, so nothing is ordered by one.

Commercial relationships

Some links on Cover Route are affiliate links. Commission never changes what is listed, the order it is listed in, or the data shown. The How we make money page explains the arrangement.
